Family reunification is one of Canada’s immigration pillars. As such, the Government of Canada is dedicated to keeping families together with several programs to support family sponsorship.
You can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada if you’re at least 18 years of age and are a:
- Canadian citizen,
- Permanent resident or
- Person registered in Canada under the Indian Act in Canada
Spouse, Common-law, or Conjugal Partner Sponsorship
You may be eligible to sponsor your spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner for Canadian permanent residence whether they are living in Canada or overseas.
Sponsorship applications for spouses, common-law partners or conjugal partners may be made as Inland Sponsorship or Outland Sponsorship.
Those living in Canada may also qualify for a spousal open work permit allowing them to work in Canada while their sponsorship application is being processed.

Parent or Grandparent Sponsorship
The parent and grandparent sponsorship program allow Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents and grandparents to Canada.
Sponsors must demonstrate they can financially support their family by meeting the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) requirements for their family size and must agree to financially support their sponsored relatives if necessary.
An alternative option for reunification with parents and grandparents, is the Super Visa, which is a long-term multi-entry visa that allows parents to stay in Canada for up to 5 years in one visit.
Child or Other Dependant Sponsorship
Canada’s Dependent Sponsorship Program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their biological or adopted children under the age of 22 for permanent residence, provided they are unmarried and have no children of their own. A child over the age of 22 may be considered a dependent if they have a physical or mental condition that prevents them from supporting themselves.
With our expertise and experience, we thoroughly evaluate your and your family member’s case to determine your eligibility and chances of success in the Family Class Sponsorship program.

After carefully reviewing your application, we submit all documentation to the appropriate Visa Office and handle all communications with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on your behalf. We also monitor the progress of your application, ensuring you are informed every step of the way.
