Express Entry Draw – Latest Updates February 2018
The February 21, 2018 Express Entry draw results saw Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) inviting 3000 candidates in the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residence in Canada. The minimum cut-off Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) for these candidates who received Invitations to Apply (ITA) was 442.
This latest Express Entry draw mirrored the results of the February 7, 2018 draw where the same number of ITAs were issued to CRS 442. Similarly, as in the last few Express Entry draws, IRCC had to employ its tie-breaking rule – whereby if more than one candidate in the Express Entry pool has the lowest score, the deciding factor or cut-off, is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profile.
Therefore, if for example, ten candidates had a score of 442, in this draw with only 4 more ITAs remaining, the candidates with the earliest time stamp on their submitted Express Entry profile will receive the Invitations to Apply – with the other 6 candidates remaining in the pool. Depending on the cut-off for the next draw these candidates may or may not get selected in the next Express Entry draw.
